The hotel was truly beautiful, and the room we stayed in was spacious and very comfortable, which we really appreciated. The onsen on the top floor was a lovely experience, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The front desk team was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we were pleased to find that everyone was fluent in English, making it easy for us to ask any questions or make inquiries. For those with tattoos, please note that you are allowed to use the onsen; however, you will need to use tattoo patches, which are available at the front desk. Although we didn't use a car during our stay, we did notice that the hotel offers parking. If you're planning to rent a car, I recommend contacting the hotel in advance, as parking spaces are limited.

The shared facilities and our room were very clean. Shoes are to be removed before entering the main lobby - there were clear instructions in English and easy to use lockers. We took advantage of the laundry room - they were easy to use and washing was free! The onsen and locker rooms were very nice and clean and not too busy in the early morning (when our jetlagged bodies were awake!). The location was great for exploring the nearby park, gardens, and market. It was also close to restaurants, and the Kanazawa station. This was one of our favorite places to stay on our trip to Japan.

Location was good. Room was a decent size, comfortable and very well equipped. I really liked the no-shoes policy, and the free ice cream/probiotic drinks were a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing – everything was fresh, abundant and delicious. (Favourite = sweet potato tempura!) My absolute favourite feature of this hotel, though was the sento on the top floor. I visited twice a day, at 5am and in the evening, and there were never more than a couple of other guests there. Sauna was perfect temperature, and the outdoor bath was particularly lovely at night. I am missing it already!

Great location, close to the market and the castle, you can walk to all places of interest. Good onsen bath (except for the TV in the men sauna). Thanks for the free ice cream and ramen in the evening. Breakfast was really excellent and copious. The hotel and rooms are modern and comfortable, everything works well, free wifi etc…it’s also very quiet considering the many people. Machine checking was a little impersonal but we could talk to the front desk staff. They speak English well. They were busy but still accessible. You put your shoes in a locker at the entrance.

Everyone has to take shoes off at the entrance of the hotel. This was great. Otherwise, Westerners will insist on wearing outside shoes inside all the time. We basically treat the entire hotel as our home and walk around our hotel in bare feet. Omicho market is aroubd the corner and we went to buy fresh fruit and bento boxes. Pharmacy nearby is so handy to get some quick medication. This is the best hotel we have stayed in Japan so far, and we will definitely come back again for a longer stay, as 3 nights are not even enough.
